The 2020 Dézaley Grand Cru Médinette is the recent edition of one of the icon wines of this appellation in the Lavaux. The wine opens deep, intense and complex, with honeyed tropical fruit aromas that are intertwined with finely flinty notes on the nose. This complexity is proceeded on the palate, which reveals a rich and dense but elegant and fine Chasselas with a creamy texture and a firm, refreshing and sustainable mineral structure. This isn't a bone-dry Dézaley but a round and mouth-filling one with a moderately powerful finish. This should be great to enjoy with fish or white meat in creamy sauces. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in Zurich in February 2022.

Pretty nose of mango, lychee, honeysuckle and elderflower; palate of sweet watermelon, red apple and a neat herbal backbone. (Silver) - DWWA 2022
• Hand harvested (from 25 y/o vines), crushed, short maceration on the skins, fermented in foudre for 10 months.
• With an ideal southern aspect, one that takes advantage of the reflected rays of sunlight from Lake Geneva below (altitude 400-600 meters), and the looming presence of the surrounding Alps, the Chasselas that Louis Bovard grows here defies the neutral description that is so frequently applied to the variety. Medinette is rich and complex, subtly mineral and impressively poised – in short, a Grand Cru wine.
