The 2022 Aerides is all Xynisteri, unoaked and coming with four grams of residual sugar, 6.6 grams per liter of total acidity and 12.3% alcohol. It was sourced from ungrafted vines at 35 to 40 years in age. In bottle a bit less than two months when seen, this is a friendly Xynisteri without a lot of precision, but it has a fruity conclusion. In its youth, it does show a little grip on the finish, but it gets a bit flabbier as it airs out. It still tastes great and seems fresh. It's an easy Xynisteri that I'd drink on the younger side, no matter how long it theoretically lasts. Let's lean up for the moment, but don't hesitate to dive in now.
