Gorgeous nose, pineapple, passionfruit and mandarin - smells so expressive. Fully flavoured on the palate, this is a rich and heady wine filled with fruit and texture. The frame is large and structured and given spicy edges from the wood ageing. Feels round and alive. Still very youthful with bright lemon, grapefruit and mango touches. Despite its power and concentration it's polished and quite charming with precision and clarity on show. Tasted twice. 3.17pH. ... More details

Vibrant nose of grapefruit, pomelo, dried apple, hazelnut skin and juniper berry. It’s medium-bodied with vibrant acidity. Excellent texture and tension with a long, spicy finish. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Château Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is brilliant, offering a racy, vibrant, yet concentrated style in its bright citrus, honeyed grapefruit, lime, and mandarin orange-like aromas and flavors. Incredibly complex aromatically, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a rich, layered, yet precise texture, good acidity, and a great finish. It's beautifully done and well worth seeking out. I can't imagine it not evolving for over a decade.

The 2019 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is incredibly distinctive, and delicious, too. Lemon confit, passionfruit, mint, jasmine and tropical accents are beautifully delineated in a creamy, layered Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon blend that is so alluring. The 30% Sémillon comes through loud and clear in the wine's textural feel.

Lively, with a mix of lemon curd, gooseberry and fleur de sel notes providing a rapier aspect, while flashes of quinine and verbena add range on the finish. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Drink now through 2023. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 2,083 cases made.

Rated 92 by Wine Advocate
The 2019 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is a broad, textural wine, revealing aromas of pear, orange oil, mango and gooseberries mingled with hints of lemongrass and smoke. Full-bodied, satiny and sensual, it's rich and enveloping, with a layered core of fruit and a long, resonant finish. Bottled under Diam 10, this is a riper, more dramatically styled white Bordeaux.

A ripe blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, this is full and concentrated. While it lacks some freshness, that is compensated by the ripe apricot and mango flavors touched by wood.. Drink now.

Rated 90 by Winery
Rated 90 - The 2019 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc shows struck flint, lemons, and grapefruit with lime cordial and beeswax. Medium-bodied, it is crisp and intense with bags of citrus and savory flavors and great length. - The Wine Independent

Varietal: White Bordeaux

Of all the blended white wines in the world, it is those which come out of the Bordeaux region of France which have an unrivaled reputation for excellence of character and sublime, complex flavors This is mainly due to the expertise of the established wineries of the region, who have for centuries been carefully and skilfully blended selected grape varietals in order to balance their wines and bring out each grape's best features. There are nine grape varietals allowed by French law for the inclusion in Bordeaux white blended wines, and these are Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Muscadelle, Sauvignon Gris, Merlot Blanc, Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Ondenc and Mauzac. However, the vast majority of white wines from this region are made primarily from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, with a little Sémillon or Muscadelle blended into their fermenting juices.

Region: Bordeaux

Of all the wine regions in France, the mostly highly esteemed and famous is surely Bordeaux. Most commonly associated with their superb examples of blended red wines, usually made with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot varietals, Bordeaux consistently demonstrates that their mix of traditional and modern wine-making styles is the recipe for fame and success. The region benefits greatly from its humid climate, and the fact that its clay and gravel based soils are perfect for growing the fine grape varietals which flourish there. The region is split into quite distinct sub-regions, with the finest generally believed to be the Left Bank and the Médoc region, where many of the most well known chateaux are based and produce their wonderful red and white wines.

Country: France

It is widely understood and accepted that the finest wines in the world come out of France. Whether you are drinking a vintage bottle from one of the famed Grand Cru wineries of Bordeaux - such as Chateau Margaux or Chateau Lafite-Rothschild - or a more simple and affordable bottle from one of the lesser known appellations in Burgundy, the likelihood is that the wine is packed full of intense and interesting flavors, and has a fine, balanced structure typical of almost all French produce. This reputation for excellence is taken extremely serious by the French, with dozens of regularly updated laws and regulations ensuring the quality and accurate labeling of wines. Such dedication and passion for fine wine, representative of the region in which it is produced, means customers can be assured that when they buy a bottle from France, they are buying something almost certain to please and delight.
