Medium ruby-purple, the 2016 Pinot Noir La Belle Promenade Vineyard has a perfumed, savory nose of charcuterie, oolong tea leaves, woodsmoke, dusty earth, crushed black cherries, potpourri and red berry sparks. It's medium-bodied, concentrated and nuanced, with a firm, grainy frame, seamless freshness and a long, perfumed finish. This has loads of stuffing and a structure that will benefit from another year or two in bottle. 398 cases produced.

Brilliant ruby-red. Intense red and blue fruit scents, along with suggestions of succulent flowers, mocha and a hint of smoky minerals that builds with aeration. Juicy, appealingly sweet and focused on the palate, offering boysenberry, black raspberry and vanilla flavors supported by a spine of zesty acidity. Picks up allspice and cola notes with air and finishes impressively long and smooth, delivering well-integrated tannins and lingering spiciness.

Structured and rather trim, but shows expressive cherry, pomegranate and black tea flavors. Best from 2020 through 2023. 390 cases made.

The palate is replete with intensity of fruit, perfume, spice, and fine grained, nearly polished tannin. Enjoyable today, this tightly wound up wine will gain complexity with cellaring over the next decade.
